Is you router programable? If so can you reprogram the
DHCP scope? Or could you disable DHCP on the router and
assign static IPs and manipulate the subnetmask to
encompass the one assigned by your ISP?

Conversly you may goof around with a second NIC and use
route ADD through the cammand prompt and tie them
togeather that way.

thanks....I set router as access point somehow got onto
same subnet mask, but i am still using dhcp on
laptop...everything fine thanks.
