trusting domain

Hi there,

According to your Writing it seems that u have two DHCP
servers. 1 in NT and 1 in win2000.
So, now what u have to do is to specify the DNS in the
Clients TCP/IP properties.
The Workstations which you want to logon to the NT give
the IP address of NT server in DNS and the same for the
workstations for win2000

Ex: for WinNT ip is 192.168.0.1
then give this IP address of server in DNS of clients

you r welcome for more help.

Yes what it is. Its a bit tricky set up I have created an AD 2000 domain
using exactly the same ip address scope, (please dont ask why.), but i have
not activated the dhcp yet. Now I do not want to be in a situation where if
i activate the DHCP server on the 2000 AD domain, pc's from the nt domain to
take ip from it. But to only take ip addresses by pc's who are on the 2000
AD domain only.

(Another question is that, I seem to be getting automatic IP address from
the NT domains dhcp server when i logon to the 2000 AD domain with a pc. I
would like to stop this and allow only the DHCP server in the 2000 AD domain
to give it the ip address. I have not activated the dhcp server on the AD
domain yet as i am scared that it will give out ip address to the nt domain
and creat a havoc)

Please advice.

Thank you thank you
