troubleshoot gpo settings !

i created a gpo named "disable update" which disables the windows
automatically update services and linked to the ou "xyz". i made specific
setting in "user configuration" \"administrative template"\"windows
components"\"windows update" with enable policy.

when a user in "xyz" log on his machine ,he cannot use the windows update
function in control panel.

but after i changed corresponding setting in gpo "disable update" not to
disable "windows update" function .the setting of "windows update" is still
unavailable.

who can tell me the possible reason.

After making the group policy change was the computer rebooted? How long
did you wait before testing the setting again?
