I've been having trouble installing something and all the help-pages/people
I've asked have directed me to this folder:
SystemRoot%\System32
I've searched my computer and I don't appear to have a SystemRoot folder,
and my System32 doesn't have what people say it will have in it. Can anyone
help me with the wherabouts of systemroot? Thankyou

meaning of the %SystemRoot% is your windows folder
for example "C:\windows\" or "D:\WinXP\"
if you want to go into System32 , find your windows folder, something like
"C:\Windows\System32\"

%SystemRoot% is a varible that shows where the Windows folder is located.

%SystemRoot% = %windir% = C:\WINDOWS or Drive Letter:\WINDOWS

Paste this in the Start | Run box and see what folder opens.

%SystemRoot%

Hit your ENTER key or click OK.
