Trouble with user opening exclusively

Hi,

I have a database on network drive. When one particular user opens it, it
blocks everyone else from using the database.

Are there any settings on her desk top that might be doing this?

I am being told she is opening the database normally by clicking the icon.
This doesn't seem to be a problem with anyone else.

Any solutions or even what might me causing it would be very helpful.

Check to make sure this user has Full rights to the folder that the database
is stored in.

Her icon might look the same to other users' icons but the command-line may
be completely different from others. Check the command-line of her icon and
make sure it doesn't specify opening the database exclusively.

OTOH, have you split the database application to Front-End and Back-End?
For a multi-user database, you should (must IMHO) split the application to
Front-End and Back-End.
