Exclusive Rights

If I have a database that is shared by several in our area, when I go open
and enter data, if someone else has it opened, it gives me an error and says
I do not have Exclusive Rights and my data will not be saved. Any idea on
how to handle this?

Pammy,

it seems that you are trying to modify the design of an Access object,
no only to enter data. You dont need exclusive rights to enter data.
If you are not modifying the desing may the the code is doing so.
Anyway the data should be saved, not the design.
