Trouble with Recurring Tasks

I live by my Outlook Calendar, so I have added all the household
chores to the calendar and assigned some of those chores to the people
who are responsible for completing them. I've set them up to recur
based upon how often they are done: daily, weekly, monthly, 2nd
Monday of every 3 months, etc. Now that they've been set and
assigned, I can only see the 1st occurrence in my task list, even for
those unassigned tasks. I've been using Outlook for years and am
certain they have been setup correctly. Why are the recurring tasks
appearing and what can I do to make this happen?

A recurring Task will appear many times on a Timeline view, but I think all
other views will only show it once, then they automatically re-schedule when
you "complete" them.

To do what you want, make recurring events (mark them as free if you use the
Calendar a lot) or recurring meetings.

They are not rescheduling when they are completed. Once the first
occurrence of the task is complete, the task "disappears" without a
recurrence. And, they are scheduled as daily tasks, not as reschedule
task upon completion. Nor do they appear in timeline view. I've set
these up before in prior versions of Outlook and had daily task lists
that recurred as prescribed so they could be checked off. There seems
to be something else going on here, but thanks for your help.
