trouble with page layout

K

Karen

Hi all. I do a pretty simple web site for my church. Some of the pages
(index/main page) seem formatted correctly, but some of the pages get weird
white borders when viewing full screen. Can anyone take a look and tell me
my formatting errors and/or how to get these pages to look right when
viewed?
Thanks for any advice!

Can you point out a specific page with this issue??
All of the pages I checked seemed OK. ( in Internet Explorer 6 )

In Table Properties try changing the width percentage from 102% to 100%, see
if that helps

Several of the pages have the issue when viewing on a large (19in) screen.
Try the music page. It is one of the worst.

I only have a 17 inch flat panel monitor,
I set the resolution to 1024 by 768 and still don't see it.

Will try that and let you know what happens. Thanks!

Using a 19" flat screen at 1280px and Firefox browser, the Music page
is a bit of a mess towards the left of the screen, just to the right
of the navbar buttons. The home page presumably displays the way you
want it to be.

Globally, the behaviour of pages might be more predictable between
different screen resolutions if you constrain the outermost table to a
fixed width in pixels. (It will look nicer if it is centred on the
screen.) You should then specify all your column widths (td width) in
pixels rather than mixing percentages and pixels in the same table.
What you see in Preview ought then to be more or less what you get.

I assume FP will let you do this with a theme applied. :)

It's that left broken thing that is driving me most crazy. It is not on
every page, and I cannot figure out what the diff is!

Thanks fido. I thought I did have the page centered but will check that
out. I will change to pixels too and see if that makes a difference.
Thanks again.
