Trouble with Field Shading

I create a lot of user form templates in Word. Forms that I created
while back have the field codes shaded, but the ones I've been creatin
now do not. In my Options, I have Field Shading "When Selected" turne
on, but the shading doesn't come out. Even if I change it to "Always
it won't work. I'm in Word 2002. I looked on Microsoft'
Knowledgebase today to see if I could find the answer there, but ther
was nothing.

Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this? Thanks for your help

Any document, when opened, will inherit the current field shading settings
in the environment.
