I've installed (and reinstalled) a game called "Emergency
Room: Disaster Strikes," and I'm completely stumped by
the behavior of the desktop shortcut. Once in a while it
works normally. Other times, it draws up error messages
saying "ER Disaster Strikes.exe - Application Error: The
instruction at '0x77f580c9' referenced memory
at '0x00000000'. The memory could not be 'read'. Click on
OK to terminate the program." This message is always in
pairs. It also varies among the users on the computer:
Some seem to work properly more often than others.
This has never happened to me before, and only happens
with this game.
(Note: I am asking in this forum because the game no
longer is supported by the maker; I'm hoping that there
may be a Windows XP fix.)
Question: Has anybody heard of such behavior, and does
anybody have any ideas for a fix?
