Trouble upgrading from XP Pro SP2 to Vista RC1

Im trying to upgrade from XP Pro SP2 to Vista RC1. I downloaded it last
night and burned the ISO using Nero 6.6. I ran Vista Upgrade advisor and it
found no problems and conflicts. When I insert the DVD, a message
immeaditley comes up saying, "Setup can not run on this version of the
Operating System. To install Windows please try booting from the install
media." I tried doing that, but could only do a clean installation rather
then an upgrade. How do I get a vista upgrade from XP?

Hi,

You're trying to run 64 bit setup from a 32 bit XP OS I'm guessing. Can't do
that, 64 bit has to be clean installed by booting the CD. If you want to
upgrade you need to use the 32 bit version.
