VISTA RC1 and XP Pro SP2, dual boot

I have a laptop that runs Windows XP Pro SP2 on a 120GB SATA hard drive, one
partition. If I leave the last 30GB of the 120GB hard drive unpartitioned,
will Vista RC1 boot and install on the last partition?

I plan on backing up XP Pro SP2 using Norton Ghost and restoring it back
with 30GB unpartitioned on the hard drive where I can dual boot XP Pro SP2
and Vista RC1.

Has anyone already did this where they provide some feedback on this type of
dual boot environment?

Thanks.

I have done this on my laptop, I have XP Pro on the first partition of my
laptop hard drive and installed Vista RC1 on the third partition of the hard
drive.
The install creates a boot manager to select the OS.

I have done this on my desktop. I have a 60 GB ATA/133 disk that XP SP2 is
on, and a 120 GB SATA disk that I partitioned in half and gave one of the
halves to Vista RC1. So far, it's worked flawlessly, I access stuff from my
XP drive while on Vista and vice-versa.

P.S. - I used a utiilty (Acronis PartitionExpert) to parition the 120GB
while running in XP before I tried installing Vista.
