Trouble playing .wmv file

I have a .wmv file but it keep on crashing my window media
player 9 for window 98 SE during the openning process. I
tried other media players but none of them work also.
They keep on generating error messages. Winamp was able
to play the file fine though but the pictures have weird
colors like trees being blue. Can someone help me so that
I can play it using window media player? Thank you.
