Trouble playing movies in a cdr\dvd player

I have used this site before and found it very
informational to. I have bought a cd-rw/dvd player for
the TV to play the slideshows I have been making. But the
player is telling me that it can not read the cd. The
slide show was made in MM2 and burned with easy cd
creator. I have named the .wma. for the player to read
but it is still not reading. Does it have to be burned as
video cd? ECDC wants mpeg files and will not convert the
jpegs so is Nero the only one that will burn it as a
video cd. I am confusedbecause the player is suppose to
read cdrws. Thanks a lot for any help! Kris

I have been reading thru several pages and found a couple
of people with the same problem that i am having. I have
a 2004 cdr/dvd player and it is suppose to read these
damn discs. But alas it is not. I have also read some
snooty coments from people who evidentlly know it all and
have no problems. There are some of us that are learning
things through trail and error and feed back from sites
like this one. Thank you very much from the nice people
who care to help us beginners. And a note to you "know it
alls, you had to start some where, too."

Yes, you'll need to tell Roxio to burn a SVCD or a VCD for a standalone DVD
player to be able to read it.
