trouble installing hardware- the required section was not found in the INF

To whomever can help, I am trying to install four pieces
of hardware to my Dell system via USB port.

- Kodak Digital Camera: DX3500
- Samsung Digital Camcorder: SCD23
- Logitech Webcam: Pro 4000
- Snapscan Scanner: E40

None of these hardware are able to install: I have used
the installation disks for all of them and tried the add
new hardware wizard and EVERY time it comes up with the
error; "the required section was not found in the INF"

I got the same error message when installing my SCD23 and Nogatech tv
tuner. I aded this registry key (without the quotes) and the problem
went away for both devices!

I realise this was posted a long time ago. But I have to ask

I tried what you suggested and it worked. I had looked everywhere fo
such a solution, including Epson support.

HOW did you knwo what to do to the registry?
