Oh, I misunderstood. I thought the error was occurring when you connected the camera. I don't know a driver works but at this point it seems like it is as much a Windows issue as it is a video issue. There are a couple of things that come to mind that I have used to sometimes overcome installation issues. One is to temporarily disable any virus scan software that you have running. The other way is to copy the cd to a location on a hard drive and run the installation from there. If this doesn't solve the problem you might try posting on the Windows group or a drivers group (if one exists).
Thanks for your reply, no - i was not able to install the drivers. The
computer searches on the appropriate CD, but fails, and gives the message " .
.. .the required section was not found in the INF".
If i try a 'Look in specific location' option, it selects the device
'Digital Still Camera' (i am just working with the Fuji digital camera at the
moment). It comes up with 33 INF files, but no matter which one i choose the
result is always the same, 'The specified location does not contain
information about your hardware'
After i had just gone through a trial 'run' to get the above statements and
sequence of events correct, i found 'Microsoft Article ID 281286' up on my
screen (i'm not sure how it got there or why, as it applies to 'Windows
2000'. I'm on WinXP Prof & SP2 . (see article below)

SYMPTOMS
When two different IEEE 1394 devices are plugged into a computer with an
866-MHz or faster processor, and at least three IEEE 1394 ports, one of the
IEEE 1394 devices may not be recognized. This problem can occur when an IEEE
1394 hard disk (acting as a repeater) and an IEEE 1394 DV camera were
connected.
CAUSE
This behavior is a result of the 1394 driver incorrectly handling device
time-outs.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000.
