Hello.
When opening Defaults in CMD.EXE and then choosing colors, the Screen Text and the Screen Background are always identical. If I modify one of them - the other changes in the same amount.
It causes problem when debugging console aplications under Visual Studio.
How to fix this problem ?

are you sure you are using the proper syntax?

Seems pretty simple. If it is not operating properly, there may be some deeper issue that probably won't be fixed without some serious surgery to the OS.

One thing I just learned is the cmd command at the prompt itself. Perhaps trying to launch the command prompt using the cmd command with switch /T:fg (where f is foreground color and g is background). At command prompt type "cmd /?" (without quotes) and use the colors given by typing "color help" (without quotes).

Maybe that will help.
