Hello, I just bought a new computer and am trying to move
my existing windows media player playlists (ones that I
created) to the media player in the new computer. on the
old comp. the playlists were in a folder named " my play
lists" in the "my music" folder, I installed my hard
drive that contained all my MP3's into the new comp. and
I copied the playlist folder into the same folder in the
new comp. when I click on the import playlist, I can get
to the folder with the playlists but it says the
playlists are empty, any ideas on how to do this if it is
possible at all? Thanks

If youre sure the tracks are there, open WMP,tools, options,in the tab,cop
music to,change to the drive or partition they are currently stored on.You can also
tools,"search for media files",browse, select the designated hd or partition, let the
player locate them.

I got it, the problem was that when I had created the
playlists in the first comp the hard drive was assigned
the letter "d" and when I installed the HD in my new comp
it was assigned the letter "f" so all I had to do was
change the path from d to f it's working now so thanks
for your help
