Trouble erasing history from address bar

D

Daniel

For some reason certain websites that I have visited,
including my own, do not dissapear from my history, even
after I delete cookies, clear history, and clear auto
complete. Usually that clears it, but several websites
still remain in my address bar history. What can I do to
delete these?

Please help, send me the answer

Thank you

Daniel,
Go to http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/download.htm and download
DelTypedURL.inf
Or
The manual method of deleting the TypedURLs key in the registry:
157729 - How to Clear the History Entries in Internet Explorer:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q157729

If they aren't in the TypedURLs key, they're coming from the index.dat file
in the History folder.
Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder (and the index.dat file) and a new one will be created when
you restart.
