A simple trojan can be removed by:

1) removing the trojan startup entry from the registry Run key
2) killing the trojan task in Task Manager
3) deleting the trojan file

If this doesn't work and your anti-virus doesn't detect it or remove it,
you need an anti-trojan tool like:

Agnitum: Products: Tauscan: Home:
http://www.agnitum.com/products/tauscan/

DiamondCS TDS-3 - Trojan Defence Suite (TDS),
leading anti-trojan system for Windows:

Mischel Internet Security -
TrojanHunter™: Finds and removes trojans:

Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
Version: 6.0.686 / Virus Database: 447 - Release Date: 5/14/2004

.
here is what I have
trojan horse start page 4.V found in file
C:\system volume information\-restore-(77BD54D2-7CCA-4CAA-
8C8E-7D47D8611E73)-\RP200\AO115334.EXE
after scan scan info shows
1 C:\windows\system32\RegsV
2 C:\windows\system32\Syscm
so virus scan healed the files but that just puts them
back in place in an infected state does not remove them
I need to know how to remove them

The trojan infected your system restore files. You have to disable system
restore, reboot (this will wipe all restore points), remove the trojans, and
reboot. Turn system restore back on.

That just means that your System Restore has the malware in one or more
of your restore points. Open System Restore and make a manual restore
point. Then open the Cleanup tool (cleanmgr.exe) and remove all but the
last restore point. That will avoid using restore points to restore the
malware.
