trojan horses, HELP!!!!!!!

I have been been having problems with my Windows Media Player driving my CPU usage up to 100%.

My virus scanners do not pick up any viruses or trojan Horses however an online scanner (symantec) picks up three trojan horses. One in a wmplayer.exe file. Could this be the corse of my high CPU when running windows media player.

As the virus scanners on my computer do not pick these up I do not know how to delete them as usually I run the virus scanners in safe mode and delete infected files.

I have run CWshredder, Ad-aware, and spybot.
But non have helped.

Any help would be greatly Apreciated.

Thankyou Screamer

What virus scanners are you using? If you have only adaware etc. the
are not virus scanners. Try downloading a free one like AV
(www.grisoft.com) - that should find & cure problem for you

I have been using AVG but that detects a totatlly clean system and I have updated it before each scan. The problem is that the online scanners are still detecting these trojans.

It's probably bundle with something you've downloaded.Had
the same probablem with a friends computer about 2 months
ago.Bazooka spyware scanner is free, you can get it from
www.download.com type bazooka in the search box or copy-
paste this link http://download.com.com/3120-20-0.html?
qt=bazooka&tg=dl2001&search.x=30&search.y=9
get it and run it,it finds the trojans, then if
it can't remove it,it'll give step by step instructions
to do it manually yourself.I find this tool very helpful
as I have 3 teens.Also,just my opinion,I've tried many
antiviruses,Norton was good for telling me I had a
virus,TOO late,then wouldn't delete it,same with mcafee I
tried computer associates(I found them on microsofts
update page,from the start>>>all programs>>>windows
updates>>>protect your computer>>>run thru to step
3>>>the 12 month free from computer associates)or
http://www.microsoft.com/security/protect/windowsxp/antivi
rus.asp I find this one better than the rest,it
catches the virus, and deletes them without any
problems. With the others,I've had to do plenty of
reinstalls,NOT ONE since I got CA!Also bout 40 times in
the last 6 months the warning has come up file
C:whatever/tempinternet/ infected with the whatever
virus, and will not be loaded, and has been deleted. It also
comes with a free firewall if you choose to use something
different.OH well,just my 2 cents.
