There are anti virus News Groups specifically for this type of discussion.

Download SmitFraud.exe from the URL --
http://www.ik-cs.com/programs/virtools/SmitFraud.exe

Execute; SmitFraud.exe { Note: You must accept the default of C:\McAfee }
Choose; Unzip
Choose; Close

NOTE: You may have to disable your software FireWall or allow WGET.EXE to go through your
FireWall to enable WGET.EXE to download the needed McAfee related files.

Execute; c:\mcafee\clean.bat
{ or Double-click on 'Clean Link' in c:\mcafee }

A final report in HTML format called C:\mcafee\ScanReport.HTML will be generated. At the
end of the scan, it will be displayed in your browser (Opera, FireFox or Internet Explorer).
It is suggested that you move the report out of c:\mcafee before performing another scan.

Well, I had a little difficulty, my desk top icons won't show up even in safe
mode but I managed to get on to the sites and download. I must have done
something because now I just have a blue screen but no error message. I can
still operate some with the task master. Any other thoughts?

Change you background colour as you wish. Change the background wallpaper as you wish.

It sounds like the SmitFraud Trojan was removed.

A log was created in; C:\mcafee\ScanReport.HTML

Copy and paste the contents of the log in your reply.

Perhaps I wasn't clear....All I have is a blue screen, no desk top, no access
to my control panel, even in safe mode no desk to icons. When I can finally
find my start menu I cannot get to the control panel. I saw on another site,
something called bleep bleep, people with the same problem. There where many
sugestions of repair, that this trojan puts up the blue screen and same error
msg. like a blanket over your desktop and jacks with IExp. Problem is, you
have to be able to get to either your control panel or desk top! There was
one other person with my same problem but no one has come up with anything as
a fix. I am tired of fighting it and am going to reformat and try again.
We'll see what happens.
