trial license expires/ machine locked up

Help!
My daughter loaded a my copy of XP home on her computer
and after the 30 day trial period the software locked up
the machine sothat it can not be used at all without an
activation number. She was running windows 98. I purchased
XP home for my machine. How dow I fix her machine?

You can purchase an upgrade version of XP and do a repair install of your
current "pirated" copy of XP that your daughter installed using the new CD
key or you can do as Chris advised.
