Translation Error when using Import And Export Wizard in Outlook 2

I upgraded to Outlook 2007 from Outlook 2003.

When I attempt to use the Import and Export Wizard I am getting an error
message
"Internal translation system error"

While on Calendar, I chose File > Import and Export

On the Import and Export Wizard I select Import from another program or file
and click Next

Error Message appears "Internal translation system error"

It actually doesn't matter what I select in the Wizard, I get the same error.

Can anyone please help?

Thanks

Mike

Why are you using import? That's never the way to add data from a prior
version of Outlook.

WHat are you trying to import? Did you create a new mail profile after
upgrading?

I am trying to import a schedule from an Excel spreadsheet into my Outlook
Calendar. I have done this several times using the Import and Export Wizard
with previous versions of Outlook.

I did not create a new profile when I upgraded.

I'd recommend that first. When upgrading, especially to Outlook 2007, a new
mail profile is a good idea.

I created a brand new profile and still cannot use the Import and Export
Wizard. I get the same error message.

Were this happening to me, I'd run the Office installation wizard from
Control Panel, remove the Importers and Exporters, then add them in again.

Thanks for the suggestion. I removed importers and exporters and then added
them again. I still get the same error pop up.

I also tried the repair option but it didn't help either.

I am also having this problem. I have completly removed Outlook, removed the
MSOCache and reinstalled Outlook with no change. I have completly removed
Office 2007 with no change.

Everytime I select export I get "Internal translation system error".
Everytime I select import nothing happens. If I select import again I get
"Internal translation system error".

I am running Outlook on XP. I am running Outlook 2007 on a Vista computer
without his problem.
