Transition form B&W to Color

I was sent a ppt file that had very nice smooth transition from an image
in B&W to the same image in color. I have looked at the tutorial by
Wendy Russel on About.com
(http://presentationsoft.about.com/od/powerpointtipsandfaqs/ss/071124bwtocolor.htm),
but I can't get it to work. I have tried on both PP 2003 and 2007. Does
anyone know of any other tutorials that describe this process?

Thanks for your reply. I finally figured out what to do.

I wanted the change from B&W to color to be a lot slower than what I
could do with transitions (as described by Russel). I finally figured
out that I needed to copy a color version of the photo on top of the B&W
version and then use an animation (very slow)rather than a transition.
It all worked out very nicely doing it that way.

me know.

I thought that might be the problem - you have a lot more control over
animations then transitions I'm glad you got it sorted & thanks for
sharing with everyone.
