Before sending my PC to the makers for repairs I deleted scores of folders
of personal nature from My Documents. Now I am reinstating them from the
CDs, but find that the files are not being transferred to the new folders in
My Documents in the same order as they are on the CDs. I am using the Ctrl +
A ect method.

What am I doing wrong? Is there another way (more accurate) of transferring
files from CDs to Folders? Is there a way of restoring the files in Folders
to the same order as they appear on the CDs? The available options in
Windows will not do the job!

Not unless you select what you want to copy and have them in an alphabet
order.

Does it still change the sort order if you click on the various column
header bars? Maybe they were in date order or something and the defaults
have been reset.
