Is there a way of transferring new individual Files or Folders from a
desktop to laptop both connected with a transfer cable? One cannot use
Windows Easy Transfer for individual items?

Sure you can. I got a link for you about how to connect two computers with
crossover cable. You can got some more links if you need more details. You
can get the crossover cable everywhere in computer stores. After things all
set, you can just copy and paste thing over. Hope it helps.

Thank you for the reply it is very helpful. Which Network Cards do I buy and
are they difficult to install? Where do I get the installation instructions?
