transferring outlook info

how do i transfer folders and contacts from outlook on my Hp to my outlook on
my Dell?

Assuming that these machines are networked and File and Printer Sharing is
working:

On the Dell open Outlook; click File and select Import and Export. Select
import from another file or program - NEXT. Select Personal Folder File
(.pst) - NEXT. Browse to the pst file on the HP - C:\Documents and
Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.

You could also just copy the pst file and open it in Outlook.

Two things you should look at:

1. File & Settings Transfer Wizard (in start | programs | accessories |
systems tools

2. MS Office Save My Settings Wizard in your MS Office Tools programs
folder (you don't mention your version of Outlook/Office, but this may be
there)

If you can connect the two computers over a LAN, this will be a lot easier,
although it isn't absolutely required.

Also note: Outlook questions are best posted in microsoft.public.outlook.
Outlook isn't part of Windows.
