Transferring OE mail from old to new machine

R

Rahman Khan

I recently got a new laptop but have had trouble
transferring mail from OE.
Because I was giving my old machine to my daughter, I
first deleted my mail on old machine. Belatedly I
realised that I had to take copy of it first. I located
the directory, and saw that the *.DBX files were still
there. I copied the *.DBX files to my flash disk, copied
them to my new laptop. When I try to import the messages,
it says that it has done so, but when I try to view them
through inbox or outbox, they are empty.
I think my deleting the messages has put some markers on
the *.dbx files. Is there anyway I can undo the delete
message function?
