Transferring messages from Windows Mail to MS Outlook 2007

How do I transfer messages from Windows Mail running on a machine with
Windows Vista Home Premium to MS Outlook 2007 running on another machine
with Windows Seven Ultimate? With both machines being connected to a home
network, I tried the normal import, export, I also copied the file
containing messages (...\Local\Microsoft\Window Mail) from the machine with
Vista onto the machine with Windows Seven, but all that did not work.

As I have on the machine with Vista also MS Outlook 2003, so I tried -
before transferring to MS Outlook 2007 - to export the messages from Windows
Mail to MS Outlook
2003 first, but there is no such an option in Windows Mail ...

Can anybody help me? Thanks a lot in advance!

Hey everyone - has it not occcured to you that THEY are once again putting
support operations on us as consumers? This is NUTS! We paid good money
for support and should not have to connect with other users for solutions to
our problems that THEY CREATED!! Stop supporting this site and make
them accountable!

If you paid "good money" for support, then you should be getting it from
them and not here. Here is free. And you often get better advice than what
you pay for.

You are mistaken.
The money you paid for the computer was not for software support.
It paid for the hardware, the hardware warranty, and the OS.

Most computers that consumers buy include an OEM copy of Windows. According
to most agreements for OEM Windows, the retailer is obligated to provide
support. So whether the retailer likes it or not, they are supposed to
provide support for Windows sold with their systems.

Theoretically, yes, but I have yet to hear from someone saying
Dell or HP helped them with a Windows Mail problem.

Microsoft refers you to the vendor for OEM products . . . . . my vendor
(Dell) only supports "hardware" in accordance with your purchase warranty as
per my discussion with them just today on the matter. Windows OS or
software (i.e.. Office, Mail) you have to pay for support - not even free
chat service.

I went to this web site. However when I choose to export from Windows Mail I
do not get the option to Export to Outlook - I only get Microsoft Exchange
(which Im not running) or Microsoft Windows Mail (which is the same mail
program Im trying to export from).
Should I see an Outlook 2007 option there and if so how do I make it display?

"Microsoft Exchange" is the correct option when exporting to an
Outlook type .pst file. However, it only works if you have Outlook
installed on the same computer.

To avoid confusion, please begin a new thread about your specific problems.

Tip: You will not be able to export WinMail data to OL unless OL is also
installed on the computer.

WinMail/Computer1 > OL/Computer1? Yes.

WinMail/Computer1 > OL/Computer2? No.
