Transferring emails

Had a computer running Windows 98 and outlook express 7. Have new computer
running Vista Premium. Old Hard drive was installed into new computer as a
back-up and for ease of transferring data to new HD. Transfer of all files
completed OK with exception of old emails. Trying to get messages from old
HD to windows mail and it can't find any emails on the old HD. I have show
hidden files & folders option on. Searfch of old HD reveals no .eml files.
What next?

Outlook Express 4 stores it's messages in MBX/IDX pairs.
Outlook Express 5 through 6 store their messages in DBX files.
Outlook Express 7 does not and never did in any version available to the
public.

If you used Outlook Express 5, 5.1, 5.5, or 6 on the old computer, see
http://www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#oe2wm

If you used Outlook Express 4 before post back.

Thanks Frank. Found the DBX files and was able to import into the new program.
