I recently did a clean install on XP Pro. I kept my old
system on a different drive but did not make it bootable.
How do I transfer settings and files from my old drive to
the new one?

Oh gee, I just did that yesterday but Tech Support walked
me through it. I don't see anyone else answering you
though, so maybe I can help a little bit.

You go to Files and Settings transfer wizard on the drive
you want to transfer from and tell it that's the OLD
computer. You have to choose the files by I think it
was "add folder" if you have anything that's not in the
normal places, like My Documents.

Then you go to the wizard on the drive where you want the
files to go and this time say it's the NEW computer.

Good luck.

Another name you may see associated with this is User State Migration Tool
or USMT.
