transfering data from word form to an existing spreadsheet

I need to transfer data from a word form to a spreadsheet. the layout is the
same on both. For some reason they passed out the word form for employees to
fill and then transfer it by hand to the spreadsheet. I'm looking for a way
to bypass this since it is a lot of data. any help would be greatly
appreciated

Is the Word form using a table layout with form fields, just form fields, or
just a table?

Depending on how the data has been entered in Word, you can capture the data
from the table cell if just tables were used, or from the form field or
bookmark and then place the values to their corresponding location n the
Excel file.
