Transfer OS to a new hard drive

I'm trying to move my Windows XP OS from one drive to
another because of limited disk space on the original. Is
there any certain way to do this to avoid unnecessary
problems?

It would be a LOT easier to move all of the programs to the 2nd drive....moving XP is harder.
