Transfer of Win. 98 Files To Win. XP

I have been using a computer running Windows 98 for several years and have
just purchased a new computer running Windows XP. I new there were a lot of
changes, but I am having some trouble transferring some files from my old
computer to the new one. I am assuming that the Win. 98 files are compatible
with Win. XP. I am looking for the file location in XP for email messages,
favorites, address book, cookies, stationary, etc. Most of these files are
in the Windows Directory in Win. 98, but I can's find them in Win. XP. I
have done a search on several user groups and did not fine one reference to
this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

For the address book location, just bring up the address book, click on help
and then about address book. For your messages, just right click on you
inbox, select properties and you'll see the location. Cookies will be in
the documents and setting/username folder.

Because XP is aimed at being used by several users, each with a personal
logon, personal 'His' documents and so on, all these personal data areas
are now held in folders
C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\
where (if you are an administrator) you will see the My Documents and so
on for that user: individuals may be limited to seeing only their own,
and the persons own one is what is seen if you use 'My Documents' say on
the desktop
