Transfer calendar to new PC and different version of Outlook

[GGH]

I have a new PC with Outlook 2007 and want to transfer my calendar
information from my old PC where I used Outlook 2003.

I opened a backup copy of the old pst folder and was able to 'copy' to move
items over in my mail, tasks and contacts. But I am unable to access the old
calendar without leaving open that old .pst folder. I don't want to do that
because it shows multiple folders for mail, calendar, etc.

Maybe there was some easy way to move all this data, but I haven't come
across it. I hope someone can help.

why not just copy the pst you are using with outlook 2003?

Where do I copy that to? Does it replace the default pst file that 2007 has
already created?

why not just copy the pst you are using with outlook 2003?

copy it to the new computer. You can try replacing the old pst with it or
close outlook, open the profile and point the profile to it. the steps are

I prefer pointing the profile to the new pst and setting it as default.

messages and tasks from the old 2000 format .pst file. I have copied the
Calendar from the old .pst to Calendar1 in the new .pst file, but I want copy
the CONTENTS of Calendar1 to Calendar. This is a major problem. I tried
making another .pst file the default, but it still won't let me rename the
Calendar to Calendar.empty (it's greyed out) then rename Calendar1 to
Calendar, which would achieve my goal. What migration tools are available
and how do I access them? Please refer this to the Microsoft Outlook 2007

copy
the CONTENTS of Calendar1 to Calendar. This is a major problem.

For default folders, you should always copy the contents and not the folders
themselves. I don't know why you think it's a major problem to copy the
entire contents. Change the view in Calendar1 to a table view like By
Category. Select all the items with Ctrl-A. Drag the selection to
Calendar. All done.

Switch to all Appointment view in Calendar1 and move the items to Calendar.
Select all (ctrl+a) and drag or use Edit, move to folder after selecting all
to get them moved.

I didn't get to try your method because I developed a work-around. I created
a new .pst file but left the original one as the Outlook default. The new
..pst didn't have a Calendar folder. I was able to copy Calendar1 to Calendar
in the new .pst and then made it the active folder. Only downside was the
necessity to recopy all the other folders from the original .pst file to the
new one.

I just checked out All Appointments view. I'm glad to know about it.

Thanks.

I couldn't find a way to "select all" in order to copy the contents. Diane
Premsky mentioned "All Appointments" view which allows it. Thanks for the
tip.
