Transferring Only the Calendar and Tasks to Another PC

I recently started to use Outlook 2007 at home after using Windows Mail.
Outlook migrated the settings and emails from Windows Mail flawlessly (almost
too easy). Now I want to transfer only my calendar and tasks from my work
computer to my home computer. I've read dozen of articles that suggest just
copying the PST file from my work PC and then opening on my home PC.
However, will opening the PST on my home PC overwrite the messages and
contacts that just came over from Window Mail? Or should I use the export
feature on my work PC to save only my calendar and tasks? Both PC's are
running Outlook 2007. Thanks much to anyone that can help.

No. You'll just get a second Calendar and Tasks showing...

If you move the pst (assuming you are using a pst at work), open it using
file, open, outlook data file.

In your case, with just needing the calendar and tasks, exporting those two
folders is a suitable option. Export to a pst and either open the pst using
file, open, or import the contents at home.
