Transfer 2000 Server to New Hardware

What is the easiest way to migrate a W2k server to new hardware?

I am replacing our domain controller with a new, faster box and I want to
minimize the work of transferring from the old PC to the new one. I also have
a tape backup if that would help ease the transition although I would have to
pull the tape drive from the old computer and install it in the new one for
this option.

I found an article in the KB about moving a W2k installation to different
hardware (249694) but it says NOT to use this for a domain controller. Maybe
there is another article that answers my question that I missed??

Thanks for the help!

There are some fairly complex issues involved when migrating a
domain controller. Have a look at the links below. The Swing Kit,
while not free, is probably the most painless and risk free method.
