tracking remote desktop usage

I have a user that tends to use remote desktop to connect from his work
computer to his home computer. His use of this feature seems
excessive. I suspect he may be running some kind of home business from
work. Is there an easy way to track his usage of the remote desktop
program, or take it one step further and check up on what he's doing
through the connection?

These issues are rarely solved by technical means. It's an issue
between him and his manager and that's where it should stay.

Your user may just be a very dedicated
worker. Then again, he may be stealing
sensitive corporate data or spying on
other employees to get ahead as one
OP posted two weeks ago. If you speak
to him about your concerns, you might
be giving him warning that his endeaors are
under scrunity. Better to catch him red-handed.

One way to establish exactly what your user is
doing is to deploy a keylogger to his office
work station. This equipment obviously
belongs to the firm.

Unfortunately for many employers, modern
antivirus and spyware applicaitons detect
and reveal the existence of keyloggers on
PCs.
