Remote Desktop: User Name Not Saved

G

Guest

Windows XP sp2. One of my remote users who connects from his laptop to our
network via VPN and then to his desktoip via Remote Desktop is saying that
his username does not saved between sessions. By this I mean, When he logs
in he enters his user name (bob.jones) and password. The next time he uses
RDP the user name that comes up is "bob" and he has to add the ".jones" every
time. What can he do to ensure that his computer remembers that he used
"bob.jones" the last time and have it show up when he RDPs to his desktop?
Thanks for the help.

Hi Doug,

When RD is launched, have the user click the Options button. From there
he can type in the computer, user, password & domain. It should save it
the next time. He can save those settings.

The reason that's happening now is his laptop login is probably just
"bob" and RD will use the login name of the computer being used.
