Track changes turning off

Tracy

I have one document (created in Word XP) that everytime I
open it I have to turn on the track changes button. I
have tried copy/pasting into a new document but the same
thing happens.

The track changes stay on with any other document that I
create or edit. Any ideas?

Hi Tracy,

Well, there's always the brute force method, if you've
nothign against placing an AutoOpen macro into the document.
For example:

Sub AutoOpen()
ActiveDocument.ActiveWindow.View.ShowRevisionsAndComments _
= True
End Sub
I have one document (created in Word XP) that everytime I
open it I have to turn on the track changes button. I
have tried copy/pasting into a new document but the same
thing happens.

The track changes stay on with any other document that I
create or edit. Any ideas?
