I have several users that are being upgraded to Word 2003 from Word 97. When
they get documents from other users (no matter what version), the Track
Changes feature is turned on. This, of course, completely baffles them since
they have never seen it before. They do not want to have to click final or
accept all changes each time they open a document. I cannot figure out how to
permanently turn this off. Is this something in the install? Could it be
because it is an email attachment? I have Word XP and 2003 and I can recreate
the issue. The document opens fine in Word XP and had track changes turned on
in 2003. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
