Track Changes Insanity!

I am working in a protected Word 2003 document, using the "track changes" feature. I accidentally crossed out something I didn't mean to, but I when I try to fix it, my "reject deletion" option is grayed out. (So are "accept deletion" and "track changes".) Even though I am not the original author of the document, shouldn't I be able to reject my own change? Also, I don't know the password to unprotect the document, so I'm stuck there. If anyone can offer some insight, I'd be most appreciative. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion, Doug, but that only works if I catch it before, say, saving the document. Which unfortunately I did. Anything else?

Hi Kim,

Unless I'm missing something:
Select the text with your change, and reject changes (for example with the
"Reject changes/Delete comments" button on the "Track changes" toolbar).
Or put the cursor before your change, and step through the changes/comments
with the "Next" button until your unwanted change appears, then reject your
change.

Greetings,
Klaus
