Track Changes: Rejecting a deletion

A

Anita

If I have inserted text into a document with track
changes on and someone else deletes that text, how do you
reject the deletion and keep the original text in the
document.

In Word2000 you were able to reject the "deletion" and
the original text would remain. In Word2002 you reject
the "change" and the original text disappears. It

The only work-around I've found is to turn off track
changes, copy the text, turn track changes back on,
accept the deletion and then copy the text back in.

Any thoughts?

Hi Anita,

See if working over the "Reviewing" task pane helps. There
you should be able to distinguish between the deletion and
insertion and accept/reject individually.
