Tooltips hide behind taskbar

Hi,

New here, I have not done any newsgroup searching for my
problem but have tried Microsoft technical support pages
that leave a little to be desired.

Anyhow in WinXP the Tooltips box that comes up when you
hover over an icon sometimes decides to hide behind the
icon or taskbar completely at will. Does anyone have an
answer to cure this completely?

Here's wishing...

Steve.

It's a known bug that was supposed to be addressed with SP1, but wasn't. A
temporary fix is to reboot the system. But eventually the problem will
return.

Your right Steve No we don't have an answer but check out a website called
Kellys Korner she if anyone will have a solution, she is one smart cookie
that girl and is a good source for all the other problems you are going to
get over time...

Kelly resides in my favourites.... http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp.htm

Rebooting is pointless it's not *that* annoying besides
which it may happen one moment and not the next. I also
noticed this exact same problem with the woes of ME today!
Gosh this could be worrying..do we have some ME code in
XP? <yikes!>

Nowt found at Kellys corner but thanks for the link.

Steve
