Shy tooltips?

Hi,

For some of the items on my taskbar, notably the start button and the time
clock, the tooltip hides behind the taskbar. If I'm lucky I can sometimes
see the yellow bit at the top. Other taskbar items, such as running
programs, have tooltips that behave normally - appearing on top and/or above
the item. I like to tooltip the time to get today's date, so it's annoying
to have it hide like that. Is there a way to get it show its face again?

It's a known problem. Rebooting seems to cure it .... till the next time.
