Toolbar settings

I have A new PC with Win XP, IE6, cable modem, the
problem is, when I set the toolbars, and the Yahoo
companion toolbar where I want them, I lock the toolbars
by going to View/Toolbar/Lock Toolbar.
After I shut down the system, and then turn it back on
it always goes to the default settings on the toolbars.
Everything is there when I click view, but the companion
is unchecked, and I have to reset it.
I know this will be an easy one for someone to answer,
but it's driving me nuts!!!

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.

Another point:

Are you having a HP/Compaq PC? If so, it may be due to AutoTKit.exe util.

when I view the file in my docs, I right click on it, and
hit edit, and in the message it says "nosave", am I doing
something wrong?

when I went to the site, I clicked on the part that
says "savesettings". Am I supposed to do something with
this file, after I dl it?

I should have told you before, that I don't know very
much about computers, lol.
