Toolbar Locking

Is there really no way to keep the changes to the toolbar positions you want?
Do you literally have to reposition the toolbars every time you restart
Outlook 2003? That seems insane to me. Why would you not want to keep the
settings for where you would like the various toolbars to be? Almost every
major program allows you to do this. Does anyone know if this is possible?

If the toolbars in question are those from add-ins, those add-in programs
control whether you can keep the positions between sessions. Most don't
allow for that.

loose-change is right. Even the Outlook toolbars don't stay where you put
them. VERY frustrating! I move them around, close and re-open Outlook, and
they're all wrong again. Taking up space.

They should stick unless you have a toolbar added by an addin messing it up.
Try deleting the outcmd.dat file and see if it helps - it's at C:\Documents
and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

I also am VERY frustrated by the inability to lock toolbars in Outlook 2003.
If other MS programs can do it, so could MS Office. Regardless of the source
(add-ins). In IE my Adobe Acrobat & Norton AV toolbars can be locked.

Come on MS, It Can Be Done So DO IT!!
