Toolbar is corrupted

I've been using IE 6.0 SP2 for many months without glitches. A couple of
days ago, I got a "Toolbar is corrupted. Press OK to uninstall" message at
the usual place where I used to enter URL for specific website.

Any idea as to how this can be fixed?

that isn't a microsoft error message. run your anti-virus/spyware app.
