Hi folks. I've been trying to find a way to disable the tool tips (or at
least delay their appearance for a second or two on the taskbar and can't
figure out how. I see several threads about the old tips behind the bar, but
how do I disable the aggravating little buggers?

I just had to do this and couldn't remember until I posted here (thanks Bert
Kinney). The easiest way is to use that nifty little Tweak UI. Go here if
you don't already have it:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

Open Tweak and click on "Binford Taskbar and Start menu". Lament: If only
Binford made a Power Toy for my memory. LOL

Thanks CM1. It was Tweak UI that I couldn't remember. I've wished I could use
it at work, but they are very anal about any changes-you know how those IT
folks are. Anyway, will try your suggestion when I get home and comment again
if it doesn't work. Thanks for the reply.

More lament: And if only Binford made a power toy for windows startup from
